Chicago is filled with annual traditions, like street festivals, parades, conventions, and other offerings that make the city great! Sometimes additional causes for celebration emerge even more sporadically, like when a Chicago sports team wins a championship or when a local politician becomes the President of the United States. This "Chicago Special Events" series gives a live-streamed Heygo experience for these wonderful festivities as they are happening.
Chicago hosted the first Pride Parade in the United States, and our parade is one of the world's largest today typically drawing more than a million attendees. It is filled with an eclectic range of floats and marchers supporting LGBTQ equality and culture. As the parade marches along, we will have an amazing view of the festivities from my friends' third floor apartment (with excellent Wi-Fi for streaming)! I will offer commentary on the parade particpants, provide history on this tradition, and share some stories. I hope you can join! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
