Inside the Museum - The Gilded Age Driehaus Museum on Heygo

Chicago is a city of museums ranging from some of the most acclaimed institutions in the country to boutique experiences you will not find anywhere else to pop-up attractions only here for a limited time. There is so much to discover! In this "Inside the Museum" series, Tours With Mike has obtained special permission to do Heygo tours in Chicago's wonderful museums to show why their collections are so fantastic.

The Nickerson House, the Marble Palace, and now the Driehaus Museum... these are some of the names of this extraordinary, 1883 building exemplifying Gilded Age opulence. Philanthropist Richard Driehaus led the meticulous, five-year restoration of this one-of-a-kind landmark, and now it is a truly special museum open to all. The decor is filled with beautiful pieces original to the mansion along with stunning artwork from Richard Driehaus's collection, including many designed by the legendary Louis Comfort Tiffany. If you love taking Heygo postcards, this is definitely the experience for you!

There’s no registration cost, but tips are appreciated. All you have to do is register in advance here, and then watch the live-streamed tour from any web browser.
