The Plant: From Meatpacking to Sustainable Food Innovation on Facebook Live

There is no other building like The Plant! The structure was completed around a century ago as a meatpacking facility in the Union Stockyards, then the world's largest food producer. The building has since transformed into The Plant, a fascinating space incubating sustainable food innovators operating in a collaborative way. The Plant also houses the Packingtown Museum recognizing the neighborhood's extraordinary past and a lot of wonderful art. It's an amazing building to explore, because everything is interconnected!

All of this and so much more is featured on this upcoming Tours With Mike virtual tour on Facebook Live. Throughout this interactive experience, you can engage with everyone else on the tour and your questions will be answered as we're together strolling through The Plant. There is no charge for the live-streamed tour, but tips are appreciated and you can see the variety of ways to send them here.

Register for this virtual event for free here and then log into Facebook at the start time to watch the live-stream. Make sure you follow Tours With Mike on Facebook to stay informed of all future virtual tours. I hope to see you on this one!
